HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to
congratulate Tim Sajewski for 
4receiving the 2019 Most Dedicated Blood Drive
Coordinator Award 
5from the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Tim Sajewski's parents organized blood drives for 
7their local parish for
25 years, and he  has carried on their 
8life-saving tradition; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Tim Sajewski volunteers his time to not only 
10coordinate blood drives for his
own parish, St. Damian in Oak 
11Forest, but also for St. George in Tinley Park, St.
Elizabeth 
12Seaton in Orland Hills, and St. Stephen Deacon  and Martyr in 
13Tinley
Park; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Since 2015, Tim Sajewski has successfully 
15organized 20 blood drives and has been responsible for the 
16collection of over 800
units of blood, which have had the 
17potential to save nearly 2,500 lives; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Tim Sajewski has been a longtime member of the 
19Knights of Columbus,
which sponsors the blood drives; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Tim Sajewski does an excellent job of recruiting

1donors by using the time after Mass to educate
congregations on 
2the importance of blood donation; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Tim Sajewski was nominated for  the 2019 Most 
4Dedicated Blood Drive
Coordinator Award by the VERSITI Blood 
5Center of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we congratulate Tim Sajewski for receiving the 2019 Most 
9Dedicated Blood Drive
Coordinator Award and commend him for his 
10compassion and dedication to saving lives through blood

11donations; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented
to Tim Sajewski as a symbol of our respect and 
14esteem.
