| 5 | | WHEREAS, Melissa Boratyn met her husband, Jimmy Boratyn, |
| 6 | | while they were undergraduate students
at Loyola University |
| 7 | | Chicago; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Melissa Boratyn and her husband directed and
|
| 9 | | produced the film Ginger as a graduate school thesis project at |
| 10 | | DePaul University in
Chicago; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, At its premier in November of 2018, Ginger won |
| 12 | | Best of the Festival at the 10th Annual
Lady Filmmakers |
| 13 | | Festival in Beverly Hills, California; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ginger was also awarded the World Humanitarian |
| 15 | | Award at the
2018 Queens World Film Festival; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, After a year of winning numerous awards at various |
| 17 | | film festivals, Ginger will be released to the public to |
| 18 | | achieve its intended goal of helping others; therefore, be it
|
