HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the River Forest Little 
4League baseball team, ages 12 and under, on a successful 2019 
5season; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, River Forest was the runner-up in the Great Lakes 
7Regional championship game in Westfield, Indiana and came 
8within one victory of making it to the 2019 Little League World 
9Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, River Forest made history this year by becoming 
11the first team in the 67-year history of the program to win the 
12Little League baseball state title; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, The members of the River Forest team are Luke 
14Hickey, Jack Paris, Ryan Lazewski, Ethan Niewoehner, Ben 
15Jarnecke, AJ Kilburg, Matt Carolan, Dutch Navigato, Jimmy 
16O'Brien, Spike Gall, Nic Lissuzzo, TJ Nix, and Joey Elza; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, River Forest is coached by Matt Hickey; he credits 
18his players' toughness for overcoming long odds to put together 
19such a successful season; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate the River Forest Little League baseball team, 
3ages 12 and under, on a successful 2019 season, and we wish 
4them many more successful seasons; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
6presented to the players and coaches of the River Forest Little 
7League baseball team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
