HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Jodi
Lancaster on the 
4occasion of her winning second-place in the
Harbor Freight 
5Tools for Schools program and for her dedication
to and love 
6for her students; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Jodi Lancaster is a welding teacher at the

8Livingston Area Career Center at Pontiac Township High School; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jodi Lancaster began her career as a hair dresser

11before training to become a welder; she worked in industry for

12several years before receiving specialized education
to become 
13a welding teacher; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jodi Lancaster is recognized by her colleagues and

15students as a dedicated teacher who regularly goes above and

16beyond for her students; she often opens the student welding

17shop on weekends, so students can practice and develop their 
18skills; she also works with
community partners and arranges for 
19students to take part in
skills competitions; and
  
 
  
20    WHEREAS, Jodi Lancaster's accomplishment has secured 
21$50,000 for the career center; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we
congratulate Jodi Lancaster  on earning second place in the

4Harbor Freight Tools for School program and commend her 
5dedication to her students; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Jodi Lancaster as a token of our esteem and 
8respect.
