HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Frances Dreyer  on the 
4occasion of her 100th birthday on January 11, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frances Dreyer began her teaching career in a 
6one-room school house in Okawville; she then  taught at 
7Okawville High School for several years; as one of the few 
8people in Okawville who owned a car, she often gave some of her 
9students rides to school; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Frances Dreyer then moved to  Steeleville where at 
11Steeleville High School  she worked as an English teacher, 
12guidance counselor, and principal during her decades long 
13educational career; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, For more than 65 years, Frances Dreyer lived in 
15the same house in Steeleville; she shared this house with her 
16husband, Frederick Dreyer, until his death in 2003; therefore, 
17be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we congratulate Frances Dreyer on her 100th birthday on January 
2111,
