HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate and thank Glenn and 
4Christine Young for their 26 years of service to the McKinley 
5Park community as facilitators for CAPS Beat 912; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Glenn and Christine Young, life-long residents of 
7McKinley Park in the 2nd District, became beat facilitators in 
8April 1994 and have facilitated meetings at Beat 912 in the 9th 
9police district almost on par with the inception of the 
10Community Alternative Policing Strategy Program; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Glenn and Christine Young have built community and 
12trust in the CAPS program by organizing countless smoke-outs, 
13roll calls, and holiday parties to foster community in Beat 912 
14and to grow the attendance of the beat for dozens of years; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The dedication that Glenn and Christine Young have 
16to the CAPS meeting at Beat 912 has earned them the 
17acknowledgment of having the most well-attended CAPS meeting in 
18the 9th district and possibly the city; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Glenn and Christine Young's efforts serve as a 
20model for excellence  within the police department, displaying 
21the dedication and support the CAPS program needs to be

1sustainable in the community and to serve as a true model of 
2community policing in our communities; therefore, be it
  
 
  
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we celebrate the work and dedication of Glenn and   Christine 
6Young to Beat 912, the 9th district police, and the greater 
7McKinley Park community; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Glenn and Christine Young as a symbol of our 
10respect and esteem.
