HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Ron Mosier on the occasion 
4of his retirement as  the Maintenance Superintendent at Mt. 
5Vernon Outland Airport in  February 2020; and
 
  
6    WHEREAS, Ron Mosier is a  father of three and resides in Mt. 
7Vernon with his wife Sheila and his son Alex; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, In his professional role, Ron Mosier has 
9contributed model service; he has been in charge
of maintaining 
10over 1,100 acres, 20 structures, and miles of concrete and 
11asphalt for nearly half a
century; and
 
12    WHEREAS, In addition to maintaining the Mt. Vernon Outland 
13Airport within the bounds of the
typical five-day work week, 
14Ron Mosier has diligently performed custodial duties and has 
15conducted both daily
and nightly airfield inspections; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Ron Mosier has been referred to by his peers as an 
17"irreplaceable team member"; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Recently, Ron Mosier has conducted his 
19professional duties while battling cancer; he has
battled 
20through the discomfort of substantial treatment in order to

1ensure that the Mt. Vernon Outland
Airport is safe, secure, and 
2attractive; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Ron Mosier's community is grateful for his  
4commitment to and passion for the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport; 
5he has displayed dedicated service and exemplary leadership for 
6the citizens of  Jefferson County; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Ron Mosier on  his retirement after 40 years of 
10service to the  Mt. Vernon Outland Airport, and we wish him the  
11best in all his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Ron Mosier as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
