HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Gabriel Flemenbaum of Boy Scout Troop 62 in Northbrook on the occasion of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Gabriel Flemenbaum built planters for the Moriah Congregation's preschool to beautify the area and create outdoor garden space in order to teach the children about plants and their life cycles; and

WHEREAS, Currently, Gabriel Flemenbaum is a senior at Adlai E. Stevenson High School; he participates in several extracurricular activities at school, including track, band, Superhero Club, Interactive Gamer's Club, and E-Sports Club; and

WHEREAS, Gabriel Flemenbaum has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors for his work in the community, including the Order of the Arrow, the Arrow of Light, and the Jewish Scout Ner Tamid Award; and

WHEREAS, Gabriel Flemenbaum has earned a number of merit badges for his work in the Boy Scouts, including Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Camping, Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Science, Family Life, First Aid, Personal Fitness, Personal Management, and Swimming; and

WHEREAS, Gabriel Flemenbaum's parents, Violeta and Arieh Flemenbaum, and his sisters, Natalie and Daniela Flemenbaum, are proud of his achievements and his willingness to serve his community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Gabriel Flemenbaum on the occasion of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Gabriel Flemenbaum as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
