HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the
Railettes Dance Team 
4of Lincoln Community High School on winning the 2020 Illinois 
5Drill
Team Association Class AA Pom State Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, On February 15th, 2020, the Railettes joined over 
7100 other Junior High, Junior Varsity, and
Varsity teams in a 
812 hour competition, finishing 1st place in their division; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Railettes won their championship with their 
101950s diner waitress routine,
featuring the song "At the Hop"; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Railettes were led by their coach, Brande 
13Montgomery, who after 10 years of
devoted service retired at 
14the end of the season; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Railettes were assisted by managers Abbi 
16Montgomery and Kambrea McCree; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The Railettes are Emma Boyd, Madeline Cook, 
18Bayleigh Gillum, Julie Guzzardo,
Mia Hullinger, Makayla 
19Koehne, Rachel Morrow, Lydia Roland, and Emma Stoltzenburg;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the Railettes
Dance Team of Lincoln Community 
4High School on winning the 2020 Illinois Drill Team
Association 
5Class AA Pom State Championship, and we hold them up as models 
6of hard work,
dedication, and team spirit; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
8presented to Coach Brande Montgomery
and Lincoln Community High 
9School Principal Todd Poelker as a symbol of our respect and
