HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Edwardsville High School 
4wrestler Luke Odom on winning the 160-pound State Wrestling 
5Championship at the 2019 IHSA State Wrestling Tournament; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Luke Odom compiled a season record of 50 wins and 
71 loss; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Luke Odom has had a stellar career at Edwardsville 
9High School, where he broke the record for most wins; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Luke Odom is a three-time state qualifier and has 
11two third-place state tournament finishes; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Luke Odom was named male Athlete of the Month for 
13Edwardsville High School for January 2020; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Luke Odom will be taking his wrestling talents to 
15the University of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
17HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
18we congratulate Luke Odom on winning the 160-pound State 
19Wrestling Championship at the 2019 IHSA State Wrestling
