| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Floyd E. |
| 4 | | Henderson of Peoria, who passed away on June 21, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Henderson was born to Nathaniel and Addie |
| 6 | | (Slaughter) Henderson on December 13, 1957; he was a talented |
| 7 | | athlete at Peoria Central High School, where he graduated in |
| 8 | | 1976; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Henderson worked with the local labor union |
| 10 | | in landscaping and construction; he was known as the |
| 11 | | neighborhood helper and enjoyed helping friends and family with |
| 12 | | landscaping projects; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Henderson was a member of the 1975 Peoria |
| 14 | | Central High Football team that was inducted into the Greater |
| 15 | | Peoria Sports Hall of Fame; he loved his family and spending |
| 16 | | time with them; he also enjoyed jazz music and traveling; he |
| 17 | | was an avid reader and a member of Mt. Zion M. B. Church; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Henderson was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | parents and his sister, Evelyn Carwell; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Henderson is survived by his daughter, |
