AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 170

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 170 on page 1, lines 18 and 19, by changing "then certify such allocations to the State Comptroller, who shall" to "then certify such allocations to the State Comptroller, who shall"; and

on page 3, line 2, by replacing "905" with "901"; and

on page 3, by replacing lines 3 and 4 with "The Department shall then pay over to each financially distressed"; and

on page 9, lines 18 and 21, by replacing "0.10%" each time it appears with "10%"; and

on page 10, line 3, by replacing "certification, the Treasurer" with "certification from the Department of Revenue, the Treasurer shall order transferred and the Comptroller"; and

on page 10, immediately below line 5, by inserting the following:

"If for any reason the aggregate appropriations made available are insufficient to meet the amount certified under this subsection, this subsection shall constitute a continuing appropriation of the amount certified. The General Assembly may appropriate lesser amounts by law."; and

on page 20, line 18, by replacing "city and that the city" with "municipality and that the municipality city and that the city"; and

on page 22, line 1, by replacing "city" with "financially distressed city, including, but not limited to, the revenue offsets authorized under Sections 3-125, 4-118, or 7-172.1 of the Illinois Pension Code or deductions from warrants under Section 10.05 of the State Comptroller Act"; and

on page 22, line 2, after the period, by inserting "This subsection does not limit the Department of Revenue's authority to reduce revenues to correct an error."; and

on page 22, on lines 3, 5, 6, and 10, by replacing "city" each time it appears with "municipality"; and

on page 22, line 4, by replacing "the city" with "the municipality".
