AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 263
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 263, by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:
"ARTICLE 1
Section 1. “AN ACT making appropriations”, Public Act 101-0007, approved June 28, 2019, is amended by changing Sections 120, 135, 300 to Article 79 as follows:
(P.A. 101-0007, Article 79, Section 120)
Sec. 120. The sum of $200,000 450,000,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Police
Memorial Committee Fund to the Office of the Secretary of State for grants to
the Police Memorial Committee for maintaining a memorial statue, holding an
annual memorial commemoration, and giving scholarships to children of police
officers killed in the line of duty.

Sec. 135. The sum of $40,000 300,000,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Secretary of
State from the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation Fund for grants to the
Chicago Police Memorial Foundation for maintenance of a memorial and park,
holding an annual memorial commemoration, giving scholarships to children of
police officers killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty,
providing financial assistance to police officers and their families when a
police officer is killed or injured in the line of duty, and paying insurance
premiums for police officers who are terminally ill.

Sec. 300. The sum of $20,000 300,000,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Office of the
Secretary of State from the Illinois State Police Memorial Park Fund for grants
to the Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation, Inc. for building and
maintaining a memorial and park, holding an annual memorial commemoration,
giving scholarships to children of State police officers killed or
catastrophically injured in the line of duty, providing financial assistance to
police officers and their families when a police officer is killed or injured
in the line of duty
