AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 657




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 657, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 
42, on page 11, by deleting lines 8 through 13; and
 
5on page 15, by replacing lines 2 through 4 with the following:


6        "(a) The Board shall hold at least 3 regular meetings 
7    each year; all meetings of the Board shall be conducted in 
8    accordance with the Open Meetings Act;"; and
 
9on page 15, line 20, after the semicolon, by inserting "and"; 
10and
 
11on page 15, by replacing lines 25 and 26 with the following:
12    "routinely acceptable. , and the Department shall review 
13    the Board's
recommendations on
applicant qualifications; 
14    and"; and

1on page 16, by replacing lines 1 through 5 with the following:
2        "(h) The Board may submit"; and
 
3on page 46, by replacing lines 16 through 22 with the 
4following:
5    "(b)  If any person practices as a licensed structural 
6engineer or holds
himself out as a structural engineer without 
7being licensed under the
provisions of this Act, then any 
8licensed structural engineer, any
interested party or any 
9person injured thereby may file a complaint with the Department 
10that shall proceed through the process outlined in Section 22 
11of this Act , in addition to the
Secretary, petition for relief 
12as provided in subsection (a) of this Section.".
