| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services |
| 5 | | Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by |
| 6 | | changing Section 405-122 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 405/405-122) |
| 8 | | Sec. 405-122. Employees with a disability. The Department, |
| 9 | | in cooperation with the Department of Human Services, the |
| 10 | | Department of Employment Security, and other agencies of State |
| 11 | | government shall develop and implement programs to increase the |
| 12 | | number of qualified employees with disabilities working in the |
| 13 | | State. The programs shall include provisions to increase the |
| 14 | | number of people with a disability hired for positions with |
| 15 | | specific job titles for which they have been assessed and |
| 16 | | awarded a passing grade. The Department shall conduct an annual |
| 17 | | presentation regarding the programs created under this |
| 18 | | Section, and each State agency shall designate one or more |
| 19 | | persons with hiring responsibilities to attend the |
| 20 | | presentation. The Department and the Department of Human |
| 21 | | Services must submit a report, annually, to the Governor and |
| 22 | | the General Assembly concerning their actions under this |
| 23 | | Section.
