AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1255 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1255, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
41, as follows:


 
5on page 8, by replacing lines 1 and 2 with the following:
6"this State for a period that is based on the length of the 
7qualified applicant's federal active duty service, as verified 
8on his or her U.S. Department of Defense form DD-214, 
9calculated as follows:
10        (1) 72 credit hours (or 60% of the maximum payable 
11    benefit) for 12 or more months but less than 18 months of 
12    active duty service; 
13        (2) 84 credit hours (or 70% of the maximum payable 
14    benefit) for 18 or more months but less than 24 months of 
15    active duty service;
16        (3) 96 credit hours (or 80% of the maximum payable 
17    benefit) for 24 or more months but less than 30 months of

1    service;
2        (4) 108 credit hours (or 90% of the maximum payable 
3    benefit) for 30 or more months but less than 36 months of 
4    service; or
5        (5) 120 credit hours (or 100% of the maximum payable

7    years of full-time enrollment, including summer terms.".
