| 4 | | "Section 5. The Line of Duty Compensation Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 3.5 as follows:

| 6 | | (820 ILCS 315/3.5)

| 7 | | Sec. 3.5. Burial benefit. A burial benefit of up to a |
| 8 | | maximum of $20,000
shall be payable to the the surviving spouse |
| 9 | | or estate of a law enforcement officer
or
fireman who is killed |
| 10 | | in the line of duty after June 30, 2018.

| 11 | | The Attorney General and the Court of Claims may jointly |
| 12 | | adopt rules and
procedures
for the implementation of this |
| 13 | | Section.
