| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3374 on page 1, |
| 3 | | lines 11 and 12, by replacing "Except in counties with a |
| 4 | | population over 3,000,000, the" with "The Except in counties |
| 5 | | with a population over 3,000,000, the"; and

| 6 | | on page 1, by inserting immediately below line 14 the |
| 7 | | following: |
| 8 | | "(1.2) In counties with a population over 3,000,000, the |
| 9 | | court may appoint a special advocate upon the filing of a |
| 10 | | petition under this Article or at any time during the pendency |
| 11 | | of a proceeding under this Article. No special advocate shall |
| 12 | | act as guardian ad litem in counties with a population over |
| 13 | | 3,000,000."; and

| 14 | | on page 1, by replacing line 17 with the following: |
| 15 | | "(a) is 21 years of age or older;"; and
