| 1 | | SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

| 2 | | WHEREAS, During the 100th General Assembly, Senate Joint |
| 3 | | Resolution SJ0054 created the Southwest Illinois Connector |
| 4 | | Task Force to study the cost, feasibility, and environmental |
| 5 | | impact of the proposed four lane divided highway, the short and |
| 6 | | long term economic impact to the region, and all options for |
| 7 | | funding both public and private; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, The Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force was to |
| 9 | | make recommendations to the General Assembly and the Illinois |
| 10 | | Department of Transportation by December 31, 2018; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force needs |
| 12 | | additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
| 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 15 | | CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Southwest Illinois Connector Task |
| 16 | | Force shall make recommendations to the General Assembly and |
| 17 | | the Illinois Department of Transportation as required by Senate |
| 18 | | Joint Resolution SJ0054 no later than December 31, 2019; and be |
| 19 | | it further
|
| 20 | | RESOLVED, That with this extension, the Southwest Illinois |
| 21 | | Connector Task Force shall continue to operate as provided |
