AMENDMENT TO SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 36 


2    AMENDMENT NO. ___.  Amend Senate Joint Resolution 36 by 
3replacing everything after the heading with the following:
 
4    "WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Report

5on Waivers of School Code Mandates, dated February 28, 2019,

6with the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the

7Secretary of State of Illinois as required by Section 2-3.25g

8of the School Code; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED AND FIRST 
10GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF 
11REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the waiver request 
12made by Dalzell Grade School District #98, identified in the 
13report filed by the State Board of Education as request 
14WM100-6567, is approved for previously approved non-resident 
15students; for purposes of this resolution, "previously 
16approved non-resident student" means:

1        (a)A non-resident student that was enrolled under 
2    waiver request WM100-5714; and
3        (b)A sibling, who lives in the same household, of a 
4    non-resident student that was enrolled under waiver 
5    request WM100-5714; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That the approval of waiver request WM100-6567 in 
7this resolution does not have application to non-resident 
8students first enrolled in the district after the expiration of 
9waiver request WM100-5714 (2018-2019 school year)."
