| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Ethel "Dolly" Golwitzer Flesher of | ||||||
| 4 | Waukegan, who passed away on December 16, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Dolly Flesher was born on December 8, 1917; she | ||||||
| 6 | retired from Great Lakes Hospital, where she worked as a | ||||||
| 7 | purchasing agent; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Dolly Flesher was active in her community; she was | ||||||
| 9 | a member of the First United Methodist Church, Libertyville | ||||||
| 10 | O.E.S., the Masonic Ladies Auxiliary, the Dunesland Garden | ||||||
| 11 | Club, the Clara Cummings Book Club, the National Association of | ||||||
| 12 | Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Senior Council, the Waukegan | ||||||
| 13 | Historical Society, the Lake County Sweet Adelines, the Lake | ||||||
| 14 | County Republicans Club, and the Woman's Circle at the First | ||||||
| 15 | United Methodist Church in Waukegan; she was a co-coordinator | ||||||
| 16 | and instructor for Mouse Club Computer Classes at the Waukegan | ||||||
| 17 | Park Place Senior Center and a 30-year volunteer at Vista East; | ||||||
| 18 | she was a past Worthy Matron of the Waukegan order of Eastern | ||||||
| 19 | Star and a past President of the Waukegan Woman's Club, Lake | ||||||
| 20 | County Chapter AARP #1509, and the Ladies Auxiliary Kenosha | ||||||
| 21 | Shrine Club; and
| ||||||
| 22 | WHEREAS, Dolly Flesher was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs; | ||||||

| 2 | WHEREAS, Dolly Flesher was preceded in death by her first | ||||||
| 3 | husband, Clyde Golwitzer Sr.; her second husband, Charles | ||||||
| 4 | (Bill) Flesher; her son, Gary Golwitzer Sr.; her daughter, | ||||||
| 5 | Donna Walles; her granddaughter, Sharon Stojak; her | ||||||
| 6 | great-grandsons, Michael and Jimmy Mortensen; her | ||||||
| 7 | great-granddaughter, Alexis Golwitzer; her daughters-in-law, | ||||||
| 8 | Judy Golwitzer and June Golwitzer; her sons-in-law, Donald | ||||||
| 9 | Verne Jr. and Michael Walles; her brothers, Merton W. Davis and | ||||||
| 10 | Wesley R. Davis; and her sister, Mildred Goerler; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Dolly Flesher is survived by her sons, Clyde W. | ||||||
| 12 | Golwitzer and Brian (Lori) Golwitzer Sr.; her daughters, | ||||||
| 13 | Jacquelyn Verne and Dawn (Jesse) Arroyo; her 13 grandchildren; | ||||||
| 14 | her 27 great-grandchildren; and her 14 | ||||||
| 15 | great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 18 | Ethel "Dolly" Golwitzer Flesher and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 19 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 20 | her; and be it further

| 21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
