SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Juanita "Dolly" Sandahl of Gurnee, who 
4passed away on December 16, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Juanita Sandahl was born in Waukegan to Marie and 
6William Kubayko on June 18, 1933; she attended Waukegan High 
7School and graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing in 
8Evanston; she married Robert Sandahl Jr. at Holy Family Church 
9in North Chicago on October 2, 1954; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Juanita Sandahl was a meticulous homemaker and 
11loved cooking, cleaning, and hosting family gatherings; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Juanita Sandahl was preceded in death by her 
13parents and one brother; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Juanita Sandahl is survived by her husband of 64 
15years, Robert;  her children, Kathleen (Hank) Govekar, Cynthia 
16(Peter) Holod, Robert (Susan), Mark (Judy), and Knute (Carol) 
17Sandahl; her grandchildren, H.R. (Colleen) Govekar, Heidi 
18(Anthony) DeGrande, Hans Holod, Jordan Holod, Holly Holod, Mark 
19Sandahl, Sarah Sandahl, Becca Sandahl, Kyra Sandahl, and 
20Katelyn Sandahl; her great-grandchildren, Henry and George 
21Govekar and Ari and Isabella DeGrande; her sister-in-law, Sue

1Sandahl; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Juanita "Dolly" Sandahl and extend our sincere condolences to 
5her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Juanita Sandahl as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
