| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Bobby Dean Henson, who passed away on |
| 4 | | January 23, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Henson was born in Johnsonville to Leslie |
| 6 | | and Myrtle (Wright) Henson on August 19, 1933; he attended |
| 7 | | Byron High School and the University of Illinois, where he |
| 8 | | studied business; he married Doris Oehl on June 19, 1953; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Henson moved to the Streator area in 1966; |
| 10 | | he worked for Joyce Beverage (7UP) from 1953 to 1994 in various |
| 11 | | capacities, including truck driver, routes sales, distributor, |
| 12 | | and district manager; he started in the Rockford area and also |
| 13 | | managed offices in Streator, Bloomington, and Ottawa through |
| 14 | | the years; he later worked for the Turner Bus Company, driving |
| 15 | | a bus for Woodland School from 1995 to 2010; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Henson was a member of the former Immaculate |
| 17 | | Conception Church, where he volunteered as an usher for many |
| 18 | | years; most recently, he belonged to St. Michael the Archangel |
| 19 | | Church in Streator; he was a member of the Teamsters Union and |
| 20 | | was a 3rd Degree member of the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights |
| 21 | | of Columbus Council #790; he also served on the Woodland High |
| 22 | | School Board of Education for several years; he loved golfing |
