SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Annelies DePaepe of Taylorville, who 
4passed away on January 22, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Annelies DePaepe was born in Bergen, Holland to 
6Simon and Johanna DeJong on December 20, 1943; she married 
7Louis A. DePaepe Jr. in Pana on January 23, 1965; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Annelies DePaepe worked at the Breeze-Courier; 
9for several years, she also worked in the office of the 
10Christian County Circuit Clerk; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Annelies DePaepe was a member of St. Patrick's 
12Catholic Church in Pana; she enjoyed helping others, spending 
13time with her family, and attending her grandchildren's school 
14and sporting events; she loved her dogs, Lucy and Taylor; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Annelies DePaepe was preceded in death by her 
16parents; her husband, Louis; and her sister, Simone Schneider; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Annelies DePaepe is survived by her children, 
19Louis A. "Skip" (Sheila) DePaepe and Simone M. Barry; her 
20grandchildren, Louis P. DePaepe, Meredith G. DePaepe, and Jude

1Elsmore; and her siblings, Frans Dejong, Marijke (Pietro) 
2Bianchessi, Ineke Smit, and MaryLou (Robert) Spengel; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Annelies DePaepe and extend our sincere condolences to her 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Annelies DePaepe as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
