| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Donald N. Tures of Manhattan, who passed |
| 4 | | away on December 29, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures graduated from Joliet Catholic High |
| 6 | | School in 1950 and from Lewis University; he was a Sergeant |
| 7 | | with the United States Army Artillery Division during the |
| 8 | | Korean Conflict; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures was the owner of Tures Nursery in |
| 10 | | Peotone for many years; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures was a member of Peotone American |
| 12 | | Legion Post 392, Manhattan American Legion Post 935 Honor |
| 13 | | Guard, and VFW Post 9545; he was also a member of the Will |
| 14 | | County Farm Bureau; he was a devout member of St. Joseph |
| 15 | | Catholic Church in Manhattan, where he attended mass daily and |
| 16 | | was a member of the Men's Club; he was a husband, father, and |
| 17 | | grandfather who will be missed; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Donald Tures was preceded in death by his parents, |
| 19 | | Nicholas and Margaret (Allare) Tures; his sister, Geraldine |
| 20 | | (Richard) Gollick; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Angela |
| 21 | | Chmielewski; his brother-in-law, Albert Naal Jr; and his |
