SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph E. "Joe" Fox of Peoria, who passed
4away on February 1, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Fox was born in Danville to George William and
6Dorothy Hannaple Fox on July 10, 1936; he graduated from
7Danville High School, where he was captain of the golf and
8swimming teams; he attended General Motors Institute/Kettering
9University, where he received his bachelor's degree in
10industrial engineering; he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon
11Fraternity; he earned his Master of Business Administration
12from Michigan State University, where he also served as the
13Director of Butterfield Residence Hall; he married Anne Maple
14in Peoria on June 29, 1963; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Joe Fox moved to Peoria and worked as the Director
16of Housing at Bradley University; he later became interested in
17insurance and finances and, as the owner of Client Services,
18Inc., enjoyed a 50-year career in insurance and investments; he
19received many professional awards and certifications,
20including the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter and
21Chartered Financial Consultant; and
 
22    WHEREAS, Joe Fox was dedicated to community service and was

1elected president of the American Cancer Society, the Peoria
2Life Underwriters Association, and the High Point Association;
3he was treasurer of the Kickapoo Council of Girl Scouts and the
4Women's Strength/Center for Prevention of Abuse; he also served
5on the Board of the Illinois Society of Charter Life
6Underwriters and the Downtown Rotary; as an avid golfer, he
7accumulated many awards, trophies, and good friends; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joe Fox was preceded in death by his parents and
9his sister, Patricia; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joe Fox is survived by his wife, Anne; his
11daughter, Amy (Richard) Jenkins; his granddaughter, Juliette
12Jenkins; and his two nephews; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Joseph E. "Joe" Fox and extend our sincere condolences to his
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Joe Fox as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
