2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Curtis L. "Curt" Whitten of Moline, who |
4 | | passed away on February 6, 2019; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Curt Whitten was born in Pensacola, Florida to |
6 | | Jimmie R. and Linda Sue (Newingham) Whitten on February 14, |
7 | | 1963; he served in the United States Army; he married Rosetta |
8 | | G. Schomer in Andalusia on December 19, 1981; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Curt Whitten worked as a painter at the Rock |
10 | | Island Arsenal; he also did mechanic work at the Arsenal; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Curt Whitten was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears |
12 | | and the Chicago Cubs; he enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, |
13 | | camping, traveling to his cabin up north, and spending time |
14 | | with his grandchildren and family; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Curt Whitten was preceded in death by his parents |
16 | | and his grandparents; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Curt Whitten is survived by his wife, Rose |
18 | | Whitten; his children, Julie (Steven Clausen) Whitten, Curtis |
19 | | R. (Julie) Whitten, and Steaphanie (Jesse) Smith; his |
20 | | grandchildren, Alexander, Alie, Hayley, Desi, Emily, and Anna; |
