SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jesse J. Witt of Colona, who passed away 
4on March 3, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jesse Witt was born in Monmouth to Frank Witt and 
6Esther Hutchins on March 11, 1948; he served in the United 
7States Navy during the Vietnam War; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jesse Witt retired from John Deere after 30 years 
9of service; he also served as a union steward; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jesse Witt enjoyed spending time with his dogs; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jesse Witt was preceded in death by his parents; 
13his brothers, Russell and Mitchel Witt; his great-nephew, 
14Marvin R. Sutton; and his three great-great-nephews; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jesse Witt is survived by his stepbrother, John 
16Hutchins; his niece, Debra Witt; his special friend, Sharon 
17Rule; his great-nieces, Lindsay Parsons and Margaret Sutton; 
18his great-nephew, Justin Sutton; and his many 
19great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Jesse J. Witt and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Jesse Witt as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
