| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Melinda J. "Mindi" Terrell, who passed |
| 4 | | away on March 12, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell was born in Bloomington to Sam G. |
| 6 | | and Joan R. (Hamilton) Terrell on February 26, 1968; she |
| 7 | | graduated from Hoopeston High School in 1986; she earned her |
| 8 | | bachelor's degree in political science from Illinois State |
| 9 | | University and her master's degree in marketing from DePaul |
| 10 | | University; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell began her career with the Make a |
| 12 | | Wish Foundation in Arizona; she later moved to Chicago and used |
| 13 | | her marketing skills for Kraft Foods, Dunkin Donuts, and Custom |
| 14 | | Culinary; she then moved to Pontiac, where she served as the |
| 15 | | Executive Director for the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell was very active with the United Way; |
| 17 | | she served on many local boards in the Pontiac area and also on |
| 18 | | the Advisory Board for OSF Hospitals; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mindi Terrell was preceded in death by her sister, |
| 20 | | Angela D. Richie and her nephew, Colby Haskins; and
