| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia Spagat, who passed away on |
| 4 | | September 22, 2018 at the age of 89; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Spagat was a former teacher who supported |
| 6 | | many environmental and humanitarian causes, including |
| 7 | | advocating for animals and LGBTQ rights; in continuing with her |
| 8 | | efforts to make the world a better place, she donated her body |
| 9 | | to Science Care for medical research; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Spagat was a dedicated volunteer and |
| 11 | | longtime member of the Democratic Party of Oak Park; she also |
| 12 | | supported and volunteered with the Animal Care League and the |
| 13 | | Tree House Humane Society; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Spagat enjoyed sitting on her front porch |
| 15 | | and waving to the people and the dogs who passed by or played |
| 16 | | in the park across the street; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Spagat was preceded in death by her |
| 18 | | husband, David; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Spagat is survived by her brother, John |
| 20 | | Picchiotti; her children, Susan (David) Moore, Michael (Karen) |
