SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joan Alderman of Divernon, who passed 
4away on March 14, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joan Alderman was born in Springfield to Fred and 
6Florence Farrand Holzaepfel on July 31, 1932; she married 
7Virgil Alderman in 1954; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Joan Alderman worked at the Sangamo Electric 
9Company; she later worked as a secretary for the Springfield 
10Board of Education for 16 years prior to her retirement in 
111995; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Joan Alderman was a member of the Divernon United 
13Methodist Church; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Joan Alderman was preceded in death by her 
15husband, Virgil; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Joan Alderman is survived by her  daughters, Sally 
17Alderman and Judy Alderman Dowis;  her  granddaughter, Sarah 
18(Craig Moreland) Dowis; and her great-granddaughter, Charlotte 
19"Charlie"; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Joan Alderman and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Joan Alderman as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
