SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael Brett Carmouche, who passed away on November 20, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Michael Carmouche was born in Chicago to Linson Joseph Carmouche and Ernestine Kelly on May 20, 1963; he received his education in the Chicago Public School system at Robert F. Abbott Elementary and Chicago Vocational High School, where he graduated in 1982; and

WHEREAS, Michael Carmouche worked in retail and customer service management for many years; and

WHEREAS, Michael Carmouche committed to his faith at an early age and became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, Florida in 2008; he was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed reading, bowling, fishing, and a good game of spades, dominoes, or backgammon; most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends; cooking for his family gave him indescribable joy; he was a devoted father, a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and a fiercely loyal friend; and

WHEREAS, Michael Carmouche was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Michael Carmouche is survived by his son, Brett; his siblings, Ricardo (Joyce), Keith (Stephanie), Carla, Brandon, Susan (Darryl), and Nicole (Ronald); his nieces and nephews, Laquita, Carlita, Jonnette, Jasmine, Krishna, Kindall, Natavia, Stephen, Keyahna, Brandon, Ellis, Noelle, Noah, and Nikolas; and his many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael Brett Carmouche and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Carmouche as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
