SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James M. "Jim" Iffland of Silvis, who 
4passed away on April 2, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Iffland was born in Rock Island to Earl and 
6Flossie Iffland on July 23, 1939; he married Rebecca Conner on 
7April 12, 1969; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jim Iffland was a proud veteran of the United 
9States Navy; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jim Iffland will be remembered as a loving father 
11and grandfather, a tropical fish enthusiast, and a Bridge 
12teacher and card player at the Moline Activity Center; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jim Iffland was preceded in death by his parents; 
14his wife, Rebecca; and his granddaughter, Christine Sikardi; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Iffland is survived by his daughters, Heidi 
17Iffland and Joelle (Thomas) Sikardi; his son, Sean (Sunshine) 
18Iffland; his grandchildren, Kaelynn, Lillian, and Darien; and 
19his step-grandchildren, Terra, Chris, Phelan, Jack, and 
20Karina; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3James M. "Jim" Iffland and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Jim Iffland as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
