| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Glen Braden, who passed away on April 3, |
| 4 | | 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Glen Braden served in the United States Navy |
| 6 | | during the Vietnam and Korean Wars; he retired after 26 years |
| 7 | | of service; he then worked as an inspector for the United |
| 8 | | States Post Office for 26 years; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Glen Braden was a member of the Moose and VFW in |
| 10 | | Gurnee; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Glen Braden and his wife liked spending winters in |
| 12 | | Ft. Myers, Florida, where they enjoyed traveling in their RV, |
| 13 | | boating, camping, fishing, and spending time with their family; |
| 14 | | and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Glen Braden was preceded in death by his stepson, |
| 16 | | Richard Braden; and his brother, William Braden; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Glen Braden is survived by his wife, Lois R. |
| 18 | | (Holsapple) Braden; his children, Carl Braden, John Braden, |
| 19 | | Cheryl Griffen, and Glen Allen Braden; his stepdaughter, Robin |
| 20 | | Braden; his two grandchildren; and his many |
