SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Danny Ray Jenkins of Spring Bay, who 
4passed away on May 5, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Danny Jenkins was born in Peoria to Raymond E. and 
6Ruth E. (Beavers) Jenkins on May 22, 1951; he had many 
7wonderful memories of growing up on his family's farm;  he 
8married Marjorie K. Draggist in Spring Bay on April 6, 1996; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Danny Jenkins worked as a mechanic for Garber 
11Service in Bayview Gardens, a business he eventually purchased; 
12he retired from Metamora Industry; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Danny Jenkins enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and 
14working on cars; as a transplant recipient, he was very 
15grateful for the kidney donor transplant program; most of all, 
16he enjoyed the time he spent with his wife, children, and 
17family; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Danny Jenkins was preceded in death by his 
19parents; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Danny Jenkins is survived by his wife, Margie; his

1daughter, Danell (Andrew) Tills; his sons, Bryce Jenkins and 
2Dustin Draggist; his brother, David (Pat) Jenkins; his nephews, 
3Matthew Jenkins and Mike (Emily) Jenkins; and his 
4great-nephews, Anthony, Henry, and William Jenkins; therefore, 
5be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
8Danny Ray Jenkins and extend our sincere condolences to his 
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
10further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Danny Jenkins as an expression of 
13our deepest sympathy.
