SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles Sherman Coleman of East Moline,
4who passed away on May 8, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Coleman was born in Prentiss, Kentucky to
6Birchell and Nina Stevens Coleman on June 15, 1927; he served
7in the U.S. Army Air Forces and married Daisy Ferguson in
8Beaver Dam, Kentucky on December 23, 1950; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Charles Coleman retired in the early 1980s as a
10heavy equipment operator; he was a member of the International
11Union of Operating Engineers Local 150; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Charles Coleman was a lifelong fan of the
13University of Kentucky Wildcats; he was a former resident of
14Park Vista, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends,
15dancing and playing cards; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Charles Coleman was preceded in death by his wife,
17Daisy; his parents; and his siblings, Eugene, Jewel, Wendell,
18Virginia, and Margie; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Charles Coleman is survived by his children, Nancy
20(Wayne) Fountain, Patty (Tim) Taylor, and Katie (Kevin)

1Thornborough; his grandchildren, Kevin (Tracie) Fountain,
2Scott Fountain, Bethany (John) White, Charity Taylor, Harmony
3Taylor, Kolton (Ruby Grigsby) Thornborough, and Kyler
4Thornborough; his great-grandchildren, Naomi and Milo
5Fountain, Noah White, Ja'von White, John White III, Hudson
6Crots, and Leauna Grigsby; his sister, Betty Taylor; and his
7special friend, Sue Fox; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Charles Sherman Coleman and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Charles Coleman as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
