SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Helen Mildred (Pearson) Schwarzentraub of
4Princeton, who passed away on May 10, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Helen Schwarzentraub was born in Tiskilwa to
6Edward W. and Hannah Fredricka (Swanson) Pearson on March 29,
71915; she graduated from Tiskilwa High School in 1933; she
8married Howard Hinze Schwarzentraub in Granville on April 22,
91937; following their marriage, she and Howard farmed on their
10family Centennial Farm in Bureau County and raised their
11family; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Helen Schwarzentraub was the coordinator of the
13Meals on Wheels program for over 25 years; she was a member of
14the First Lutheran Church in Princeton; she was also a member
15of the Priscilla Circle and the Princeton Hospital Auxiliary
16and a Golden Member of In Home Health; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Helen Schwarzentraub enjoyed gardening, planting
18flowers, traveling, participating in church activities and
19family events, and socializing with friends; she was most proud
20of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; she
21was a woman of great faith and will be remembered for her
22kindness and positive attitude; and

1    WHEREAS, Helen Schwarzentraub was preceded in death by her
2parents; her sister, Ardis Larson; her brother, Lloyd Pearson;
3and her husband, Howard; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Helen Schwarzentraub is survived by her sons, Dr.
5Paul (Bonnie) Schwarzentraub and Dr. Dennis (Patricia)
6Schwarzentraub; her grandchildren, Dr. Sean Schwarzentraub,
7Darci (Kevin) Glaspie, Dr. Jeff (Kimberly) Schwarzentraub, Jen
8(Scott) Gifford, Julie (Brandon) Carter, and Justin (Kira)
9Schwarzentraub; her 13 great-grandchildren; her nieces, Eunice
10(Larson) Waller and Judy (Bob) Glazer; and her nephew, Jerry
11(Helen) Pearson; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Helen Mildred (Pearson) Schwarzentraub and extend our sincere
15condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
16her; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Helen Schwarzentraub as an
19expression of our deepest sympathy.
