SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Daniel Nicklas of Beach Park, who passed 
4away on May 7, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Daniel Nicklas' many accomplishments include 
6achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in 2012; he graduated from 
7Zion Benton Township High School District 126 in 2013; he 
8received a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from 
9Concordia University in 2017; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Daniel Nicklas enjoyed spending time outdoors, 
11camping, fishing, canoeing, and playing with his dogs, Gia and 
12Duke; he was excited about home improvement projects for his 
13residence and for family and friends; he wanted to share his 
14knowledge with everyone he met; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Daniel Nicklas was preceded in death by his 
16grandparents, Alfred and Alice Nicklas; and his grandmother's 
17husband, Joseph Stewart; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Daniel Nicklas is survived by his parents, Thomas 
19and Betty Nicklas; his brother, Matthew (Katherine) Nicklas; 
20his fiance, Kyrstan Bower; and his grandmother, Shirley 
21Stewart; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Daniel Nicklas and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Daniel Nicklas as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
