SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jeff Whipple, who passed away on May 18, 
42019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeff Whipple was a long-time lobbyist with the 
6firm Jeffrey T. Whipple and Associates, established in 1971; he 
7was elected Third House Speaker in 1994; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeff Whipple raised his family in Northbrook and 
9then lived at Conway Farms in Lake Forest for several years; he 
10was an avid golfer and was regarded as a true gentleman; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Jeff Whipple was preceded in death by his parents, 
12Herb and Marge Whipple; and his sister, Joan (Erik Ediger) 
13Whipple; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jeff Whipple is survived by his wife, Jan; his 
15son, Clayton (Kirsten) Whipple; his daughter, Dana (Mark) Katz; 
16his grandchildren, Chase, Jack, Hunter, Emerson, Austin, and 
17Finley; his brother, Larry (Susan) Whipple; and his nephews, 
18Benjamin (Kristy) and Matthew (Bethany) Whipple; therefore, be 
19it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Jeff Whipple and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
3friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Jeff Whipple as an expression of our 
6esteem and respect.
