| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Alfred Richard "Fred" Stryzs of |
| 4 | | Cleveland, who passed away on June 4, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs was born in Wilmington, Delaware to |
| 6 | | Alfred A. and Mary (Radulski) Stryzs on May 12, 1948; he was |
| 7 | | drafted into the United States Army, where he served with the |
| 8 | | 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam and was awarded several |
| 9 | | medals; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs worked in construction initially as a |
| 11 | | surveyor and later found his niche as a project superintendent; |
| 12 | | he worked all over the United States, including Iowa, where he |
| 13 | | met Shari Lutz; they married in Las Vegas in 2003; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs enjoyed saltwater fishing, the beach, |
| 15 | | spending time with "the usual suspects", casinos, a fine |
| 16 | | whisky, a good cigar, and family; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs is survived by his wife, Shari; his |
| 18 | | children, David (Roxanne) Heinig, Amber Waggoner, Lacey |
| 19 | | (David) Fox, and Taylor (Joe Kubly) Satterly; his |
| 20 | | grandchildren, Matthew, Gwendalyn "Da", Buzz, Elise, Vincent, |
| 21 | | Evalette, Julien, and Cole; his great-grandson, Archer; and his |
