SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Frank "Frankie" Grom Jr., who passed away 
4on May 31, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frankie Grom was born to Frank Sr. and Germaine on 
6September 13, 1949; he graduated from Warren Township High 
7School in 1967; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Frankie Grom worked for  a number of companies in 
9the food service industry and for the Foss Park Golf Course; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Frankie Grom was a retired member of The United 
12Food and Commercial Workers International Union; he was a past 
13member of the Lake County Bowling Association Board of 
14Directors and a convention delegate in the 1970s and 1980s; he 
15was a member of the K.S.K.J. Catholic Union; he was involved in 
16many golf and bowling leagues and was a Cubs and Bears fan; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Frankie Grom was preceded in death by his parents; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Frankie Grom is survived by his brother, Thomas 
20(Linda); his sisters, Linda Willcox and Carol (Steve) Fisher;

1and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Frank "Frankie" Grom Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to 
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Frankie Grom as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
