SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Stanley L. "Stan" Stone of Moline, who 
4passed away on June 20, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Stan Stone was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Mr. 
6and Mrs. Bert L. Stone on August 6, 1936; he served in the 
7United States Marine Corps from 1953 until 1956 and attained 
8the rank of Sergeant; he married Patricia Lynn Williams in 
9Colona on November 14, 1970; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Stan Stone was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal 
11and retired as a program analyst in 1994 after 31 years of 
12service; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Stan Stone enjoyed fishing and golf and was an 
14active volunteer at the John Deere Classic for 35 years; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Stan Stone was preceded in death by his parents 
16and his wife, Patricia; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Stan Stone is survived by his sons, Greg (Joanne) 
18Stone and Brian (Christine) Stone; his two sisters; his two 
19grandchildren; and his great-grandson; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Stanley L. "Stan" Stone and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Stan Stone as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
