| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Bobby Joe Taylor of Rock Island, who |
| 4 | | passed away on July 5, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Joe Taylor was born in Centreville, Iowa to |
| 6 | | Lillian F. (Jones) Barnett on January 16, 1958; he was an |
| 7 | | all-star athlete in wrestling and football for Rock Island High |
| 8 | | School, where he graduated in 1976; he enlisted in the U.S. |
| 9 | | Army on April 19, 1977 and served for six years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Joe Taylor loved to cook and worked as a |
| 11 | | cook for several Quad-City restaurants, including Bishop's |
| 12 | | Buffet, the Old Country Buffet, and a local casino; he also |
| 13 | | worked several years for United Cerebral Palsy; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Joe Taylor was preceded in death by his |
| 15 | | mother, Lillian F. (Jones) Barnett; his brother, Robert James |
| 16 | | Taylor Sr.; and his sister, Sandra J. Taylor; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Joe Taylor is survived by his daughter, |
| 18 | | LaTasha Hickman; his grandchildren, Bernard Harris Jr., |
| 19 | | Juanita Hickman, and Sean Allen Jr.; his siblings, Arnold |
| 20 | | Barnett and Lynette Taylor; his nieces, Lillian Taylor, Rosalyn |
| 21 | | Taylor, and Cyd Gaddis; his nephews, Larrin Taylor and Robert |
