| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Allan James Gray of Silvis, who passed |
| 4 | | away on July 17, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Allan Gray was born in Moline to Christopher and |
| 6 | | Jessie Fraser Gray on April 19, 1915; he served in the United |
| 7 | | States Army during World War II; he married Marian M. Heath in |
| 8 | | Memphis, Missouri on March 7, 1942; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Allan Gray retired from the John Deere Foundry |
| 10 | | after 40 years of service; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Allan Gray was a member of the Silvis Masonic |
| 12 | | Lodge and the Moline VFW; he enjoyed golfing and bowling; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Allan Gray was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 14 | | Marian; his brother, Harry; his sister, Alma Carlisle; and |
| 15 | | several nieces and nephews; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Allan Gray is survived by his son, Robert (Sharon) |
| 17 | | Gray; his grandchildren, Christine (Michael) Coyne-Logan, |
| 18 | | Robert A. (Robyn) Gray Jr., and Jonathan (Kathleen McCormack) |
| 19 | | Gray; his great-grandchildren, Trevor, William, Hallie, and |
| 20 | | Stella; and his nieces and nephews, Jessie Boyd, Jackie |
