2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Jerrold Arnold "Jerry" Adamson of Moline, |
4 | | who passed away on July 31, 2019; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Adamson was born in Oak Park to Arnold and |
6 | | Mildred (Lundquist) Adamson on March 25, 1931; he served in the |
7 | | U.S. Army during the Korean War and married Marjory Higbee in |
8 | | Chicago on March 3, 1951; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Adamson worked for Illinois Bell for 37 |
10 | | years; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Adamson was involved with the YMCA Indian |
12 | | Guides for many years; he was also active in the Telephone |
13 | | Pioneers, where he was a past president and earned 24 awards |
14 | | and certificates; he was instrumental in several inventions for |
15 | | people with disabilities, including Talking Books, Pioneer |
16 | | Pete, and baseball for the blind; he was an avid Chicago sports |
17 | | fan; and

18 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Adamson was preceded in death by his former |
19 | | wife, Marjory, and his brother, Roger; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Adamson is survived by his sons, Jeffery |
