SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carolyn Louise (Hill) McNeely of St. 
4Peters, Missouri, formerly of Bloomington, who passed away on 
5June 30, 2019; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Carolyn McNeely was born in Bloomington to Cecil 
7Hill and Mildred (Warner) Carsel on February 18, 1941; she 
8graduated from Bloomington High School; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Carolyn McNeely raised her family in Pekin and 
10Champaign; she owned several small businesses, including The 
11Edsel Bar in Champaign, and built homes throughout Central 
12Illinois; she retired to St. Louis to be near her youngest 
13daughter; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Carolyn McNeely attended Trinity Lutheran Church; 
15she was a devoted mother and grandmother; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Carolyn McNeely is survived by her children, Mona 
17(Colman) Chustz, George (Karen) McNeely IV, Nicholas McNeely, 
18and Anna (Matthew) Roland; her eight grandchildren; and her 
19sister, Joyce (Roy) Thorpe; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Carolyn Louise (Hill) McNeely and extend our sincere 
3condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
4her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Carolyn McNeely as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
