SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dennis A. Cook of Moline, who passed away 
4on August 10, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Cook was born in Rock Island to Jack and 
6Shirley Gregg Cook on February 27, 1952; he was a veteran of 
7the United States Navy; he married Rose M. Nelson in Nevada on 
8February 14, 1994; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dennis Cook worked as an electrician and retired 
10from IBEW Local 145; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Dennis Cook was a member of the Milan American 
12Legion Post 569; he was an avid fan of horse racing; he enjoyed 
13a great cocktail, golfing, and playing cards; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dennis Cook was preceded in death by his parents; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dennis Cook is survived by his wife, Rose; his 
17children, Travis (Kelly) Cook, Mellisa (Tom) Normoyle, and 
18Brandon Hayden; his grandchildren, Madison, Natalie, Melanie, 
19Alexa, and Lucas Cook, Carter, Nolan, Eli, and Izzy Hayden, 
20Skyler, Riley, Ellie, and Jaxson Normoyle, and Seth

1Stubblefield; his sister, Donna Nesseler; and his nephew, Brian 
2(Dana) Nesseler; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Dennis A. Cook and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Dennis Cook as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
