SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Albert W. Castrey of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on August 8, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Albert Castrey was born in Moline to Francis and 
6Eleanor Alger Castrey on March 18, 1926; he married Vera 
7Ackeberg on October 29, 1952; she preceded him in death; he 
8later married Wanda Polley in Milan on January 2, 1999; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Albert Castrey was a veteran of the United States 
10Army; he retired from Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric after 40 
11years of service; he was a life member of IBEW Local 109; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Albert Castrey was a life member of Trio Lodge No. 
1357 A.F. & A.M. Milan, the Milan American Legion Post 569, and 
14the Rock Island Conservation Club; he enjoyed riding his 
15motorcycle, fishing, camping, and woodworking; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Albert Castrey was preceded in death by his 
17father; his mother; his stepfather, Raymond Dryoel; his first 
18wife, Vera; and his stepson, Larry Smith; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Albert Castrey is survived by his wife, Wanda 
20Polley-Castrey; his sons, Raymond (Margaret) Castrey, Gregory

1(Gina) Castrey, and Steven (Amy) Castrey; his stepsons, Terry 
2(Cindy) Smith and Leslie (Stephanie) Polley; and several 
3grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Albert W. Castrey and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Albert Castrey as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
