2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Margaret Rose "Marge" (Ahern) Lorr, who |
4 | | passed away on August 14, 2019; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Marge Lorr was born to Hugh J. and Bernice Kerwin |
6 | | Ahern on June 19, 1936; she graduated from Trinity High School |
7 | | in River Forest; she graduated from the College of St. Teresa |
8 | | in Winona, Minnesota in 1958; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Marge Lorr was an active member of Holy Cross |
10 | | parish for 48 years, where she worked with many Catholic |
11 | | philanthropies, including the Christmas basket program for |
12 | | people in Waukegan; she was a room mother, a member of the |
13 | | school board, a den mother, and a member of the Friends of St. |
14 | | Malachy; she was involved with two prayer groups and the Christ |
15 | | Renews His Parish (C.H.R.P.) retreats; she was a Minister of |
16 | | Care and donated her time to many fundraising events; she |
17 | | received the Christifideles Award from the Archdiocese of |
18 | | Chicago in 2014; she was the recipient of the Village of |
19 | | Deerfield Humanitarian Award; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Marge Lorr was the beloved wife of James D. Lorr, |
21 | | the loving daughter of the late Hugh J. Ahern and Bernice |
22 | | Kerwin Ahern, the loving mother of Cathy (Eric) Hasenberg, |

13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
14 | | Margaret Rose "Marge" (Ahern) Lorr and extend our sincere |
15 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
16 | | her; and be it further
