| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Stefan Niedorezo, who passed away on |
| 4 | | August 21, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Stefan Niedorezo was born on August 30, 1953; he |
| 6 | | began his art studies in Tarnow, Poland, where he specialized |
| 7 | | in the design and creation of sculpture, as well as classic |
| 8 | | furniture; he earned a Master of Art in Sculpture from the |
| 9 | | Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland with a specialization in |
| 10 | | stone, wood, and bronze sculpture; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Stefan Niedorezo was a sculptor and draftsman who |
| 12 | | specialized in the creation and conservation of sculpture; he |
| 13 | | left behind a great artistic output of commissioned projects, |
| 14 | | from large monuments to interior decorations, including |
| 15 | | figures of saints, altar decorations, and crosses that adorn |
| 16 | | the churches of numerous Polish parishes; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Stefan Niedorezo worked as a teacher of sculpture |
| 18 | | for many years; he also provided arts and crafts education to |
| 19 | | the Polish community in Chicago; together with his wife, |
| 20 | | Barbara, and sons, Jakub and Maciek, he managed Artorium Inc., |
| 21 | | a private, family-run art studio that offers various visual art |
